A. Muscaria var. formosa is a variation of Amanita Muscaria mushroom, however based on the newest scientific DNA researches, it will soon get it’s own species status. Formosa, or Guessowii in the US, is the yellow-orange Fly Agaric mushroom. Its’ Cap is yellow, deep orange, or red-orange. Its yellowish-buff to tan universal veil will entirely cover the youngest mushrooms, form pinkish-buff spots or warts on mature mushrooms. Amanita Muscaria var. Formosa has the same chemical compounds as Amanita Muscaria - muscimol and ibotenic acid.
